Millar College
Over the weekend Briercrest made their way to Millar College of the Bible for some league volleyball action.
Friday night the Millar women’s team was firing on all cylinders with a commanding 3-0 win (27-25, 25-27, 25-22). Player of the game was #2 Marcee Hoimyr for Briercrest and #4 Kyla Luesink for Millar. On Saturday it was a much tighter affair. As Briercrest was able to hold off losing two of the first three games and win in five 3-2 (23-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21, 15-9). Player of the game was #11 Hannah Spaulding for Briercrest and #1 Leah Janzen for Millar.
On the men’s side, the top two ranked teams didn’t disappoint as both matches went the distance. Friday had Briercrest come back after losing the first two games to take the match in five (24-26, 21-25, 26-24, 27-25, 15-11). Player of the game was #3 Park Letts for Millar. Saturday had a similar result but for the host team as Millar won in five (25-18, 17-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-8).
