Last night, the Millar Edge hosted the Great Plains SunDogs in their second meeting of the season and these two teams did not disappoint. Previously the Sundogs ladies and Millar Men were on the winning side, and so with the start of the Ladies game, the Edge were looking for redemption.

Things started off at a furious pace as both teams traded points back and forth. The SunDogs came away with the first set 25 - 20. The Edge responded in the second set tying things back up at 1 a piece with a 25 - 17 win. Not to be outdone, the SunDogs took over and won the third set easily 25 - 10. The Edge answered with another set win of their own 25 - 13 setting up the fifth and deciding set. The SunDogs came out flying getting out to a quick 8 - 4 lead, but as they had done all night, the Edge Ladies fought back and on the final whistle, came out on top 15 - 11! The player of the game for the Edge was well deserved by team captain Kyla Luesink!

The Edge Men, fed off the excitement from the Women’s game and came out flying. They started off with a big run and won the first set 25 - 8 and never looked back, taking the game in three straight sets 25 - 8, 25 - 12, 25 - 20! Nolan Fontaine was awarded with the player of the game for the Edge!

The Edge have a long break as their next games are not until Wednesday Oct. 16th when the head to Briercrest for their second matches agains the Clippers!
